Out of the Shadow of Pink along with A Man's Pink were invited to participate in a male breast cancer research program being
conducted by the
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA  The survey was conducted from November 10, 2011 through
February 10, 2011 and the results were presented at the annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.

The first stage of the program involved a survey to be completed by male breast cancer patients and survivors which focuses on the
physical and psychological consequences of male breast cancer diagnoses.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Male Breast Cancer Study - RESULTS

Men diagnosed with breast cancer were asked questions regarding the following:

 background and medical history
 anxiety and feelings about breast cancer diagnosis and treatment
 sources of support
 symptoms related to diagnosis and treatment
 willingness to participate in future research

The hope is that this information will help to learn more about the impact of breast cancer on men's lives and to develop services to
assist men diagnosed with breast cancer.
